【What is a Fire Starter】 

A fire starter is an ignition device used to start a fire, generating sparks through a “rod” that scatters sparks and a “striker” used to shave the rod, igniting tinder (such as hemp rope or wood shavings).

It can be used not only for starting charcoal during camping or for bonfires, but also because it does not require fuel, it is useful in emergencies.

The fire starter is resistant to moisture, making it usable without concern even during the rainy season or in humid places.

Moreover, since it does not require fuel, there is no need to worry about sudden fuel depletion like with lighters or matches, allowing for long-term use.

 A rod that pursues materials, hardness, and shapes to maximize spark scattering.

The rod uses ferrocerium, suitable for igniting with sparks of 3,000℃, and a material that pursues the amount of sparks, “Pure-X ™️ Blend”, achieving smoothness when removing rod material and an extraordinary amount of sparks.

To scatter more sparks, the amount of rod material removed and the instantaneous friction heat are crucial, but this time, by making the shape thicker and larger in a hexagonal shape for easy grip by both children and adults, and by applying the striker to the corners, the grip becomes stronger than that of a circular one, allowing for an extreme increase in the amount of rod material that can be removed.

Additionally, since the area of the hexagonal face is larger than that of a circular one, a significant amount of friction occurs when the striker is applied to the face, ensuring that sparks scatter well.

With the ability to perform over 20,000 strokes, it allows for use in reverse when the tip becomes thin by intentionally not creating a handle.

Achieving maximum friction with a meticulously crafted striker 

For the striker, we pursue the optimal hardness and size to make it easiest to shave the rod and scatter large sparks. It also features a carefully chosen matte color and smooth texture.

By sharpening the area where the rod is rubbed, we strengthen the grip with the rod and achieve a very large friction force to create bigger sparks.

Like the rod, the striker is also made significantly larger than conventional ones, making it easy for children to hold and ignite easily.
