Lightweight stove convenient for solo campers

ZenCamps introduces the fun and convenience of a titanium, lightweight, compact wood stove (fire pit) recommended for solo campers.

Titanium wood stove

I want to enjoy my alone time as lightly as possible.

For those just starting camping, many buy larger fire pits from famous manufacturers, and that’s definitely the right choice! When I first started camping, I thought camping meant a fire pit, so I bought a famous fire pit from a major manufacturer.

I’ve tried various fire pits, but recently I mostly use two types: mesh-style fire pits and this wood stove. As you become a veteran camper, you want to slack off in various ways (I call it “lazy camping,” haha), so lightweight and compact fire pits become preferable.

Lately, I crave time alone, so I often go solo camping or solo day camping, but I want to travel light. Even if going by car, I want a fire pit that can be quickly taken out and set up; if going with just a backpack, it must be lightweight and compact. Many intermediate or advanced campers also seek lightness and compactness in their gear. This wood stove is the fire pit I always bring when I go solo.

Usage examples

Weighs just over 200g and assembles in 1 minute.

Made of titanium and very light, it weighs just over 200g, and once you get used to assembling it, it takes about a minute. When disassembled, its thickness is about that of a smartphone. It doesn’t take up much space in your gear, so it’s handy to carry around.

Since it’s a wood stove, instead of large firewood sold at campsites, you gather small branches fallen around as fuel. The stove has excellent chimney effect, so its combustion efficiency is incredible; the branches you add turn completely to ash, making it an eco-friendly fire pit.

Yesterday, I boiled water with a mess tin, and it boiled in no time.

The task of continuously adding small branches becomes strangely enjoyable once you get used to it—that’s the true charm of camping.

Inserting small branches

*When using, the bottom of the stove gets hot, so to protect the ground, it is recommended to lay down a fire pit sheet, place a stainless steel tray or stones on it, and then put the wood stove on top.

After enjoying the fire, I use this stove as a windscreen and trivet for an alcohol stove to boil water or cook rice.

Also, it can actually be used to start charcoal.

With various ideas, you can use it in many ways, so everyone, please enjoy trying out different uses!

This unit is useful both as the main fire pit for solo camping or touring, and as a secondary fire pit for large group camping, so please give it a try!
