Fire Pit Heat Shield Sheet

・Using this sheet, the radiant heat from the fire pit is reflected by the aluminum, creating a heat-insulating effect that makes it difficult for heat to be transmitted to the ground. Regular fire pit sheets prevent ground fires from sparks, but if exposed to radiant heat for a long time, heat will still be transmitted to the ground through the fire pit sheet, so we recommend using this heat-insulating sheet together with it. This is especially effective for low fire pit models such as Maclight, TOKYO Camp fire pit, and Pico Grill 398.

・Caution: The heat resistance temperature of aluminum is 180°C. Using a wood stove with a firebed that is quite close to the ground may exceed the heat resistance temperature and cause damage. As a guideline, please use it with a fire pit that has a firebed height of at least 9 cm from the ground.

・We layer aluminum material that reflects radiant heat, which is also used in fireproof clothing, over the fiberglass sheet to protect the ground from heat from the fire pit. A fire pit sheet made only of fiberglass can prevent ground fires from sparks, but since it cannot be expected to provide heat insulation, we recommend using the heat-insulating sheet together with the fire pit sheet.

・If you are using a low fire pit such as the Pico Grill 398, Maclight, or TOKYO CAMP fire pit, you must take your own measures for heat insulation and heat resistance, or the ground will become extremely hot and may burn the grass. While bricks and blocks can be expected to provide insulation, they are heavy. With just one of these heat-insulating sheets, you can protect the ground from heat, making it easy to carry. Let’s enjoy camping while taking proper heat insulation measures and following good manners.
